While the development team is working on the release of Halo 2, it is already looking to the future and gives us some information on things to come. Their latest update included several photos of the Halo 3 remasterer in progress.
The photos are from the first mission and show a remarkable improvement compared to the original, which is still quite good to this day. The environments are lush and lively with a good amount filling the screen, without having the problem that some of the 343 Halos have had where enemies can be difficult to distinguish among a busy background.
343 also shared two screenshots of the incoming ODST remake, which are just as beautiful. As with the previous screenshots, these take place during the first mission, contrasting the lush and vibrant jungle of the Halo 3 screenshots with the cold night city of ODST. Looking towards the launch of the Halo 2 remasterer, 343 discusses the April 17 release date for the game’s broadcast. 343 invited more than 100,000 Halo Insiders before increasing the number toward the final weekend, getting a rigorously intense amount of beta testing for the title. There has been a lot of talk about doing these tests, as well as the feeling of pride and joy that came from seeing so many players happily reliving their memories.
